Cider & Bramley chops
Adding a generous slug of cider transforms these tasty pork chops into a delectable dinner dish.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large red onion, peeled and sliced thinly
- 1 large or 2 small bramley apples, peeled and sliced
- 4 pork chops
- 1 tbsp flour
- 250ml dry cider
- 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
- fresh thyme leaves to garnish

Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan and cook the onion and apples until softened. Add the chops and cook for about 10-15 minutes, depending on thickness, turning once until cooked through.
- Remove the chops and keep warm while you make the sauce. Sprinkle the flour over the apples and onions and mix. Add the cider a little at a time stirring all the time until thickened and bubbling.
- Stir in the mustard and remove from the heat. Serve spooned over the chops and sprinkled with thyme leaves.
