Not for me!

Deeply unpleasant smell on opening the packet, followed by unpleasant taste and rubbery texture. Not for me.

Close to the real thing.

Cathedralvegan is the closest taste to dairy cheddar and handy to have it ready grated.

Wow!!!!

We always struggled with vegan cheese but we made do with what was available for us. First time of trying was when I made quesadillas and, not expecting much, the cheese made them!! 'Made them' probably because we were so surprised at the taste and how it melted. Well done Cathedral City.

Excellent.

So we are actually vegetarian but we eat very little that isn't vegan. This is a great vegan cheese, and you can see they've really tried to have something that represents their brand well because they do make an exceptional dairy cheese. The thing is vegan cheeses would be eaten more if they generally upped the protein content and downed the saturated fat content. Vegan cheese is generally a treat in our house rather than a staple in our diet, but after a while you do find that all you need is it as a treat as you do stop craving "real cheese" if you give it time (it's like sugar and caffeine, it takes a little persistence to kick the habit), then for the odd recipe that you're craving vegan cheese can be an excellent treat substitute, just don't count on it for your nutritional content. We like to try lots of different brands and so far this has to be one of our favourites.
