Adds good background flavour
First time of using but will definitely buy again as it added depth of flavour.
Not just for bolognese
I didn't have a cottage pie mix so I used this bolognese mix instead. It was delicious so I'll be using this for cottage pie from now on.
Love this
Prefer using this and adding my own quality can of tomatoes and then adding a little water, makes the perfect spag bol.
First time used, a big yes..
First time I have tried this mix and a definite yes, so will use again. I did still add 2 oxo cubes, can't make any minced meat dish without oxo, but the flavour was great by adding the Colman's mix for the bit of spice. It turned out a delicious Spaghetti Bolognese dinner. Plates all cleaned, so a definite yes from everyone.
Not keen
This wasn't to my taste but I see the benefits of it. It's quick and easy and has a lot of flavour. I have always made my own sauce from scratch which I don't think takes any longer really and the flavours are a lot more fresh. It was a bit too much for my palate, it came across very dense and rich but not in a yummy way. I didn't end up finishing my meal as it outfaced me. Again, I can see why it would be popular, just not to my personal taste.
A hit in our household
We used to make our own spaghettini bolognese from scratch, but truth be told it doesn't get that same thickness and flavours as you do from the mix. Good flavours and simple to use.
