Very good indeed
Really enjoyed these. I like German dark beers and this is one of my favourites.
Wonderfully smooth
Very drinkable and not sweet like many dark beers. Im drinking this on a hot summers day, when I would certainly not normally drink dark beers. I bought one bottle at a special discount. Will get a supply in when back in stock..
A nice change but won\x27t be a habit
got sticky lips from drinking this! Overall a little bit like a brown ale named after a great northern English city, but a lot less boisterous. OK on offer as it was, perfectly pleasant, but I won't be seeking out.
Not to our taste
We were sent this by Ocado to review. My husband thought it was a slightly odd combination of the taste of a traditional ale with the fizz of a lager. So not to his taste but it may very well appeal to those who appreciate traditional ales.
A really nice beer...
I bought this beer on a whim, I'm glad that I tried it because it is really very nice. It's a hoppy tasting beer. Sometimes these can be quite strong and bitter, but this one was mellow and very enjoyable indeed.
lovey dark German beer.
I bought this in a Flash Sale and really enjoyed the taste. This is the first time Ive drunk a German dark beer and I was very impressed.
