Product information
The perfect aperitif Chardonnay, it's a wine that pairs very well with all types of seafood. Fermented 40% in old French oak barriques, and 60% in stainless steel tanks there is very little oak influence on either nose or palate. This has allowed the vibrant fruit to show through beautifully with lively lime and lemon aromas and a flinty, mineral edginess with hints of fig and white peach.

Tasting Notes
Lively lime and lemon aromas and a flinty, mineral edginess with hints of fig and white peach. The weighty mid-palate also shows peachy ripeness along with crisp acid minerality that gives the wine a refreshing cleansing quality. This wine is delightful as an aperitif, and even better to drink with fish and shellfish.
History
The Brajkovich family and Kumeu River Wines is a story that parallels the New Zealand wine industry. From the pioneering days to the establishment of the New Zealand wine industry to today, the Brajkovich family have been internationally recognised as producing world class wine. The first vineyard was bought in 1944 and the estate has now grown to 30 hectares
Regional Information
Despite being situated well north of New Zealand’s other viticultural regions, Kumeu’s climate is cooled through its close proximity to both the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean. This climate , combined with soil types very efficient at retaining water where needed, results in conditions that enhance the fantastic aromas and flavours from early ripening varieties such as chardonnay and pinot gris.

Great NZ Chardonnay, lovely minerality, good fruit. Perfect as aperitif and with seafood starter. Quite expensive but would buy again
