This steak is cut from a cross section of an Aberdeen Angus rump, it has a deep beefy flavour and exhibits unique textural variation across the rump center, Picanha and rump end.

Step 1
Remove from packaging 10 mins before cooking. Preheat dry pan to high.
Step 2
Lightly oil and season steak. Add steak into the hot pan and sear all surfaces for 3 mins until golden brown. Transfer to roasting tray and place into a preheated oven.
200°C / 180°C Fan / Gas 6
Rare - 4-8 mins
Medium - 8-12 mins
Step 3
Remove from oven, cover with foil and leave to rest for 5 mins before serving. Ensure all surfaces of the steak are thoroughly cooked.

Impressive
Yes this steak feeds to people and very easy to cut into two. Grilled for 3 mins to medium and the flavour was great. The tenderness was exceptional and I would suggest it's the best rump steak I have had as a result.
One massive piece
It is just one massive piece, so we had to cut it into 2 to share. Would have been too huge for one person to eat. Would be good for sharing it in slices too (e.g. in a salad). It is really tasty and flavourful when we cooked it on a cast iron grill pan in the Ooni gas oven for 3 mins on each side, seasoned with just salt and pepper.
So tender and tasty
Please put this back to stock as it was the most tender rump ever. I roasted this for just 20min and was red and succulent
