Cooking Instructions - General. Needs Cooking
Remove all packaging.
For best results Grill.
Do not reheat.; Grill - From Chilled. Cooks in 8 mins on a high heat. To ensure crispy bacon cook for a further 2 mins.
Turn regularly.; Shallow Fry - From Chilled. Add a little oil. Cooks in 8 mins on a medium/high heat. To ensure crispy bacon, cook for a further 2 mins. Turn regularly. Check that the product is thoroughly cooked.

Abysmal

So looking forward to this, big thick rashers certainly looked the business, they smelled fresh after managing to get the rashers out of packet. So we grilled both sides, the aroma was pleasing, and then we tucked in. What a disappointment. A sort of sweet taste at first bite which we didnt like, texture was strange too. Followed by no flavour at all. M&S have definitely, unequivocally lost the plot on quality. Whoever taste tests needs sacking, unless the game producer is supplying superior cuts to win the contract then drops it. All I can advise is avoid. I can say right here and now Waitrose bacon, even the super thin cost conscious Essential, tastes far superior to this.

Absolutely STINKS ! FOUL SMELL.

I always get this bacon and its been very tasty, however this batch smells absolutely rotten to the core once cooking it. I had to throw this out wasting £8 odd on two packs, both have the same date, this may be contamination in the batch. literally house smells like a dirty farm

so much liquid

I dont think I have ever seen so much water come out of six rashers of bacon. I had to pour it out of the grill pan and continue cooking. The end result was ok but I probably wont buy this again.

Thick white gunge \- no more for me!

Lately there is always a white soapy mess that oozes from the bacon - and it doesn't always smell very fresh. No more for me.

tasty but.....

this product was a challenge to start with! took 5 attempts to be able to open the plastic eventually I used a knife to open it. the plastic would not pull open. very frustrating. however the bacon was ok but a bit salty. would not purchase again and could not recommend.
