perfect!
I made these using the dough setting on the bread maker, then took it out for the rolling stage (its sticky so dont forget to flour your surface, hands and the dough well), left the rolls to prove in the tin for the last 30 mins then baked in the oven. They light & fluffy with a lovely sticky bottom and tasted delicious! A couple of things to mention though, the instructions on the box are in French but you can find the UK instructions in the Ocado product description. They advise using a 7 round tin but this is too small. Id use an 8 or 9 instead.
Awful
You would hope that product developers at M&S would consider who the product is for/who would be buying it. Certainly, some experienced bakers might buy this as a shortcut, but some inexperienced bakers might want to try this too. Unfortunately, the instructions are woefully inadequate for someone like me, who doesn't have much experience with yeast doughs. The missing instruction, I think, is to roll the dough out on a very well-floured board. I ended up with a sticky mess that refused to roll up or be sliced before baking. And you'll only know what size pan to use it you can read the French instructions on the box. Very disappointing, M&S.
Not good at all really
Decided to grab a box to save time making my own. Won't make that mistake again. Very dense, not much flavour despite adding a little extra sugar, cinnamon & chopped walnuts to the filling. Would not purchase again.
amazing buns
Used a hand mixer with dough hooks. No problem with them rising and they bake beautifully. Takes time but well worth it. Just follow the instructions properly. Not sure what other reviewers were doing wrong. These taste amazing.
really tasty
You need extra flour, I think they r lovely really soft bread and sweet icing but not strong cinnamon
really nice
I mix this by hand and the dough is really sticky so I add extra flour like other reviews have said. When I roll the dough out I put it between two sheets of baking parchment which allows minimal handling and sticking. I use salted butter rather than unsalted. I have happily baked these buns many times. I can't resist eating them warm from the oven so don't even put the icing on and they are still really nice and make the house smell great!
