As lovers of all things beautiful, the team at Waddesdon Manor are delighted to have sourced this range of exceptional wines from the rolling hills of the Languedoc.
This vineyard is on a chalky hillside in a cooler region, renowned for producing the finest Pinot Noir. A part is aged in French oak bringing complexity, spice and texture to the elegant black cherry fruit.

Curated by the team at Waddesdon Wine Rothschild Collection, these Pays d'Oc wines launched in 2021 are a stunning example of the extraordinary wines produced in the south of France.
Regional Information
Chalky soil with fragmentation of marl from the Oligocene period. Vineyard situated in the Aude region near Limoux.

Vinification Details
Manually harvested with integral de-stemming. After a short cold maceration (5 days at 10°C) the juice undergoes thermoregulated fermentation at 25°C maximum. Slow extraction via unballasting and punching the cap. After a low pneumatic pressure, fermentation takes place in Stainless steel vats. 80% of the wine is then matured in tank and 20% in oak barrels for a minimum of 3 months.

Absolutely Smashing

Absolutely delightful pinot. Plum and spice on the nose. Some cherry and woody tones to taste, with a nice level of acidity at the back of the mouth. That's what my husband told me anyway - I just pour it straight down my throat.

Not the best

This is a wine to enjoy with food, but is not easy drinking. There are much better available and I wont buy this again.

worst ever Pinot noir

At £10, and from a heritage wine producer, I had high hopes for this wine. Shared with 4 people, none of us could drink it- possibility that corked. Not at all fruity, or full bodied, despite its billing. Glasses emptied and rest used for cooking
