no-fish dish
just tried these for the first time - I was hesitant as fish-fakes tend to be some of the worst meat-a-likes in my experience. Agree with what the positive reviewers say in that the texture is very authentic and has a good flake and whilst there is vague whiff of the sea, it's not overpowering and therefore off-putting. I baked these in the oven over rice and covered them in a chili and soy sauce glaze. I found they needed longer in the oven than recommended and I also turned them and glazed both sides, which really helped. I think next time I'll whack them in the air fryer to crisp them up a bit. I can imagine they'd be nice flaked into a coconutty fish curry and I'll definitely buy them again. One star off as they do seem a bit Ultra-processed, but that's the price you pay for letting an animal live.
Actually pretty good!
I received this product free in exchange for a review. My husband was pleasantly surprised by this product and enjoyed it! The Vivera Greek Kebab is still our favourite from that brand but if you want to stop eating animals and want something fish-like, definitely give it a try.
Pleasantly surprised
I am reviewing this as I got a free coupon from Ocado. I’m not a plant based diet, however I did enjoy this salmon substitute but I do still prefer real salmon
Not for me
I was given a coupon to review this product. Not for me but great plant-based alternative for those that like salmon.
Flakey texture, no flavour
Definitely not salmon. If anything it's more like tuna, but still doesn't have the sea flavour. Maybe wrap it in seaweed? Compared to the Zeastar Salmon this is nowhere near as good.
Great texture
I was given a coupon to review this product. I cooked these in the air fryer and it turned out really nice. Great texture. They don't have strong salmon taste but still very tasty.
