Being more demanding

Our current marketing slogan encourages you to ‘be more demanding’. But what does that actually mean? Obviously it’s not just about asking us to stock your favourite products or deliver your groceries at a particular time (although that is an important part of what we do).

We think it’s about making sure we’re delivering outstanding service in every possible area, from our switched-on, friendly drivers (we call them ‘Customer Service Team Members’ to show just how important they are to what we do) to our whizzy, easy-to-use website.

Speaking of our website; you know, when we started in 2002, our website crashed if more than 10 people came on to order at the same time! That seems a lifetime away. Now you can order from us in less than 10 minutes, using smart features like ‘pre-saved lists’ and personalised recommendations to help you get the most out of your shop.

We also work really hard on the service bit. You don’t just avoid the hassle of going to a supermarket, we even bring your bags right to your kitchen table, rather than leaving them at the front door. It’s something we feel really strongly about. It’s important that we recruit great people who really care about putting the customer first and then support them - with technology like satnav, SMS order confirmations etc.

We’ll never stop striving to keep our service out in front, so you can expect plenty more exciting innovations from us too.
