Question:
What healthy snacks can I have at work that'll help to keep my energy levels up?
Fitness-Inspiration says:
Without doubt, the best snack is a small handful of nuts, seeds and dried fruit. They provide protein, calcium, Omega 3 and Vitamin E, not to mention good fibre. The protein will help to slow down the digestion of carbs, which means your energy levels should stay higher for longer.
If you're allergic to nuts try mixing another protein with a healthy carb, like humus or cottage cheese with pitta bread or rice cakes. But as with anything, moderation is key, so stick to a palm-sized portion of each.
Question:
How quickly should I expect to see results from my workouts?
Fitness-Inspiration says:
You should feel instantly better from exercising, but if you eat correctly and stick to the exercise programme (three times a week) you'll see noticeable results within a month.
Question:
What should I eat when I have a sugar/chocolate craving?
Fitness-Inspiration says:
Firstly, make sure you're drinking plenty of water. People often mistake dehydration with a sugar craving - strange but true! If that doesn't help, try sticking to the rule of a palm-sized amount of protein with carbs. That way the body will take longer to break down the carbs, giving you a satisfied feeling for longer.
