Chicken off

I don't know what it is with the essential chicken range. I have the same problem with the 4 pack and the whole chicken in the essential range. It just is off before the expiry date. I keep getting refunds but it doesn't improve. It has put me off buying it.

I've had the same problem with mould and it going off early. Stinks and tastes awful way before the expiry date

Gets spoilt before expiry

The chicken is good for only about two days. After that time it usually develops white mould-like dots on the surface and a nasty smell. Waitrose's expiry date seems to be too optimistic as the chicken gets spoilt 1-2 days before the expiry. It is a waste of money unless you are planning to use it immediately. For some reason Ocado did not even react to my repeated requests for a refund last time I bought this chicken and it went bad 1.5 days before the expiry.
