The Aberdeen Angus is a native British breed, whose meat is naturally marbled with fat, making it exceptionally tender and full of flavour. The hindquarters are hung on the bone to mature them, making them flavoursome and tender.

Not great. Needs a better weight choice

We have had this beef a number of times now. Whilst sometimes it is really tasty, we have had a couple of really, really tough joints, making it too unpredictable. It also needs a greater choice in weight. There is a big difference between 0.8kg & 1.4kg, both in terms of how many people it feeds & the price. I tend to chop it into 2-3 pieces & freeze the remainder. I would prefer to be able to buy a smaller piece & have it fresh each time. I will be buying from our local butcher in future so that I know what we are getting.

Yummy

Roasted this joint for 2 and half hours and it tasted lovely, not chewy and not much fat.

Reliable but not earth shattering

We've had this quite a few times, usually pretty good but some have been quite tough. The leftovers always make great sandwiches though!

Tasty, but Too Smal

We have ordered this several times now and it has consistently proven to be very good tasting. However, I don't order this much anymore because I cannot count on it being big enough to feed my guests. I agree with other reviewers here -- we should be able to specify a minimum size so that we can ensure we get a large enough roast.
