A fine silky texture and rich marbling gives sirloin steak its robust flavour and perfect juicy tenderness , making it one of the most popular steaks.Waitrose Aberdeen Angus beef is produced from cattle sired by registered pedigree Aberdeen Angus bulls. The Aberdeen Angus is a native British breed, whose meat is naturally marbled with fat, making it exceptionally tender and full of flavour. The hindquarters are hung on the bone to mature it, so it becomes even more flavoursome and tender. Aberdeen Angus mince and burgers are also available from our prepacked assortment.

Too much fat
I ordered two thick-cut steaks. The steaks were OK but there was a very thick rind of white fat, of the inedible kind, which I cut off . The fat weighted 110 grams, out of 470 grams. A bit of a rip off really.

Too much fat
Felt cheated, ordered 2 bits of steak but both had about 25% fat that needed to be cut off before cooking. Once cooked the meat was OK but it made a very small meal for the price paid.

Sigh
Just when you think everything is going great with ocado... you get a sucker punch to the stomach when ordering steak. Is it really that much to ask to get a steak that's fresh? evenly cut, not a wedge an inch think at one end and wafer thing at the other? not completely grey? I did attempt to cook it, but due to the wedge shape it was a lost cause, cooked unevenly and ended up in the bin.

Thick cut?
The only part that was thick cut was by the fat edge. The rest was thin cut. Very disappointing

Grill on high heat
This meat is great but has to be grilled on a very hot skillet. The result is a slightly charred surface and a rare to medium rare steak inside. Add salt and plenty of pepper.
