Nothing else will do
Even my mum is a convert to this type of paper. You need less sheets so it lasts longer. And the smoothness means its even good for a sore runny nose as well as a botty!

Not as good as it used to be
I've used Andrex for years and, during a recent multi-buy offer, we bought one each of all the premium Andrex toilet rolls to do a side by side comparison. We tried our normal Aloe Vera alongside Quilts and Shea Butter. We feel the Aloe Vera has gone down in quality since launch. The little ripples in the paper have got smaller and it's a lot easier to put your finger through. It also seems to powder off into little bits when you wipe with it - not ideal. We found the Quilts easily won overall. They were the thickest, which we felt to be the key factor - I hate toilet roll that's easy to put your finger through. Aloe Vera comes second and Shea Butter a close third. It was very soft but the cream colour didn't work well in our bathrooms. I would prefer if Andrex wrapped their rolls in paper, not plastic though - hence the lower score for packaging.
