Vinification Details

Araldica Barbaresco Corsini is made from Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated in a small vineyard in the Roncaglie area of Barbaresco. The handpicked grapes are crushed and transferred to four small vessels where they are fermented for twelve days. This technique gives the wine its deep colour and flavour. After this, the wine is drained off the skins and racked to oak casks where it is matured for two years. The wine is given a further 6 months in bottle before release.

not good

We tried some barberesco whilst in Italy and they were lovely. This was not. It tasted very acidic and was hugely disappointing. We couldn't finish the bottle.

Enjoyable to the bottom of the bottle

It's always a good sign when a wine still taste as good when you are pouring the last few drops. Just drank a bottle of 2007 which has sat in the cellar for a couple of years after being sub for a Barolo. Completly agree with previous review and will be buying again.

Supple

A surprisingly light red colour, with supple tannins which are reminscent of Burgundy. Fresh cherry aroma, with a rather nice baked plum flavour on the palate.
