Chardonnay Macabeo - White Spanish Wine
The word Barranco means "ravine" in Spanish, and is the name we have given to this cool climate Spanish white which comes from the mountainous area in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
Nestling among the foothills of the Pyrenees, Somontano is Spain's hidden gem. Steeped in history, it is a land of stunning natural beauty with a rich diversity of climate and soils; the ideal backdrop making wines of great character and distinction. This wine is a blend of Chardonnay and Macabeo and is a beautiful pale yellow colour with an intense nose of apricot, peach, apple and lime. In the mouth it is remarkable for its grapefruit and exotic fruit flavours of pineapple and mango. This stunningly well structured, fresh and fruity wine will work perfectly as an aperitif, or pair with starters, fresh pasta, salads, seafood and other light dishes.

Very Fruity

but if you like a dry wine this one is not for you. Tried a glass on its own and was definitely medium to sweet. Worked better with dinner. May buy again next time its on offer.
