This bread is made for Biona by a family-owned bakery in Münsterland, Germany. Established in 1927, the bakery uses traditional artisan skills - freshly grinding the grains just before baking to create loaves packed with the wholegrain goodness needed as part of a healthy diet.

yummy

I am sadly unable to enjoy regular bread anymore. I love this raw or toasted. Great with butter or basically anything. Even my small people love it.

Not To My Taste

I am not reviewing from a position of experience when it comes to rye bread so take what I say with a pinch of salt. I found the flavour acceptable, quite earthy in a good way. To me the texture was awful. It felt like I was chewing lots of tiny rubber pellets and I disliked it so much that I binned the sarnie I'd made. This loaf is presliced which is neither here nor there really, just that I didn't see mention of it and it's not immediately obvious.

Smells like stock cubes.......

I am on a health kick and this was recommended on the diet Im on......I threw it away as I thought it was awful! If youre used to eating that kind of thing then youll probably like it see other reviews but I wasted 1.65.

Lovely Texture and Flavour

This very grainy, seeded bread actually feels as if it's doing you good - the texture and taste are delicious - lovely with soft blue cheese or smoked salmon.
