Lovely Beans
Once soaked and cooked these beans have a lovely creamy texture and great flavour. I use them instead of red kidney beans in chilli con carne, but they are so versatile, they get included in lots of our meals!

Perfect for freezing
After allowing these lovely pebbly little beans to soak overnight, and then slowly simmering with some herbs to make a thick, soupy stew, I was rewarded with a wonderful lunchtime treat - excellent to sit down and enjoy in a cosy home while the rain batters down outside. This is truly the epitome of comfort food (especially when combined with pasta). The best part is that I had some left over, so I froze it...and when reheated it still tasted just as good. This is ideal to make in a big batch one rainy afternoon, freeze in small amounts and have when you feel like a warm and comforting supper with none of the effort. Lovely. (The only downside is the packet doesn't last that long).

This classic dish, Ribollita, is named after the traditional method of re-boiling soup from the day before.

Fantastic. Best beans ever.
Waitrose Borlotti beans are my favourite beans. Absolutely delicious with fresh garlic, tomatoes and a little bit of salt and cayenne pepper. Yum.
