"This is one of those extra special ingredients that can make all the difference. It’s a luxury that earns its keep: you don’t need to use much at a time, but its sweet, smoky flavour brings instant depth to any dish it’s in. And if you’re a vegetarian or vegan, who wants to know how to replace bacon in dishes, a little of this really seems to bring a smoky umami quality that doesn’t, of course, taste like bacon but seems, gratifyingly, to do the job." Disappointing
I usally buy Schwartz which I love, but wanted to try this for a change, but I wish I didn't. It is really bitter, you can't taste the spice itself just the intense smoke, like licking an ashtray.
Excellent
So much flavour, is so much better than any other Smoked paprika I’ve ever bought
Delicious Depth of Flavour
This is a really tasty, yum. Having tasted a few sweet smoked paprikas, this one comes out tops. I use it in many dishes to add depth and round out the flavour. Mexican, in stews, on hard boiled eggs, stirred in mayonnaise for a bit of Smokey depth. Delicious with olive oil to roast butternut squash or Kabocha. In red pepper soup. Even a dash on a sourdough cheddar cheese toasted sandwich is nice. A regular purchase in our home.
The real stuff
Great smoked paprika, very tasty, Excellent quality.
It's only £2.10 at Sainsbury's
Love this but why so expensive Ocado?
Worth the extra £
Ive been putting off buying this as its a lot more expensive than other brands. However the taste is a million times better, a little goes a long way, so smoky and adds something special to cooking.
