Nice and Lean
I've found this to be consistently good meat. It's generally very lean and needs little extra trimming which makes it perfect for slipping into the slowcooker with some chopped veg for a quick and easy stew.

Consistently good
A regular item on my shopping list. Good quality meat with very little, if any, waste. Cooks nicely.

Full of water
I was really surprised when frying this beef at how much water came out. I had about half a cup full, which isn't good.

Tough
I've bought this a few times now to make cassoulet. Even though I seal it, then cook it on a low heat, in a cast iron pot for 4 hours it comes out tough as old boots. Tastes alright though.

not ideal but good basic
despite slow cooking it with plenty of stock and sealing it for ages it was still pretty touch and dry. Tasted good though...ok for basic but not entertaining.
