Lovely stew

I made a beef and ale stew with this, cooked it in the oven for 3hrs and it was delicious. Beef tasted great and just melted in your mouth.

Ok at the offer price

Good sized chunks of meat, however - after three and a half hours on high in the slow cooker - it was quite dry and chewy. There wasn't any gristle, however I thought the meat may have been a little too lean and perhaps a bit of fat might have improved the flavour. Fine at the offer price, I'd have been a bit disappointed if I'd paid more.

IS THIS REALLY BEEF?

Funny smell and taste, not gone off, like no beef I have ever cooked. In view of recent scandal I think I just ate My Little Pony. One large chunk and the rest very small pieces.

lovely meat ideal for slow cooker

I have ordered this week after week it makes lovely casseroles add the Schwartz slow cooker powders, a carton of passata and some mixed frozen veg. Perfect at the end of a cold day. Good consistent quality meat, very tender.
