Excellent Value
Excellent value and beautifully tender when browned on the hob and then finished off slowly in a casserole sauce or in the oven. I am really cheesed off that thy are on special offer and are therefore out of stock as they are a staple of our diet.

Great
As far as I know pork shoulder requires a good deal of cooking, so I put these in a roasting dish for about 30 mins, you can pour marinade over if you like. Then I serve them with chips and fried onions. Always delicious and tender this way.

Great In A Casserole
I agree, it can be tough if it's grilled, but I don't think that's the best way to cook it. Cooked gently in the oven in some sort of gravy or casserole sauce, this is beautifully tender. For health reasons, I can't eat beef anymore, so I use this as a substitute for beef in all my old casserole recipes. It mustn't be overfried at the beginning or it will go tough. It takes about an hour to cook.

Surprisingly good!
Not tried serving as steaks but I love using these for a midweek quick pork casserole. Chop into smallish chunks, flour, fry and then gently simmer in chicken stock with tinned tomato for 30 mins with diced potato, chorizo, bacon ... and sometimes a few chestnuts and dried apricots.

super value meal for four
I really enjoy these, when left out for 20 mins to take the chill off, smother in salt flakes and pepper on one side, fry in butter for 3 minutes, then before flipping, salt flakes and pepper and 4 minutes the other side. very tender, perfect thickness for cooking in 7-8 minutes on high/medium heat.
