Store in a cool dry place, away from heat source and direct sunlight. Once opened, reseal using the reclosable tab on the pack

Prepare & Use

Hob - From Ambient. Allow approximately 60g of bulgar wheat grain per 180g cooked serving. Wash thoroughly. Place 120g of bulgar wheat in a saucepan with 600ml of fresh cold water. Bring to the boil and cover, simmer for 15 minutes until cooked and water is absorbed. Drain before serving.

Misleading instructions

Use the preparation instructions on the Ocado website, cooking one part wheat with two parts water, not the instructions on the packet, which give one part wheat to five parts water - which produced a tasteless mess. But it's a tasy product when properly prepared, as easy as couscous.

having cooked from Moro cookbook and eaten in the famous Moro restaurant and gone into a total food coma! we decided to try our own version of their lebanese 'salad' I suppose you could call it, at home, mixing bulgar with a smaller amount of a delicious toasty grain called freekeh! yes seek it out! and parsley, lemon, whatever else is suitable, pine nuts maybe....and it is amazing! esp with lamb, utterly addicted, forget cous cous this is powerful stuff.

Natures colonic...

Healthier than rice, lower in calories, and easier to cook than quinoa. This tasty bulgar wheat is a firm favourite and so tasty. Tip: try cooking in a little vegetable stock rather than just water.
