Undercooked, not enough salt
I love butter beans, but these need pre-cooking before adding to a recipe. They lack the creaminess of other brands.

Filling and tasty
Butter beans are much under-rated additions to stews and casseroles. They can also be eaten cold with salad, just washed or in a light salad dressing. I'll sometimes add them to crispy lardons and sun dried tomatoes in a pan for a quick and tasty supper.

Excellent, quite delicious.
These go well in stews, but we also like them as a straight vegetable on the plate maybe with carrots and greens if you have some braised beef or any other meat. Very tasty just as they are. I have lots of tins in the cupboard.
