Preparation: Carte Noire Instinct is just as easy to prepare as regular instant coffee. Simply add 1 to 2 teaspoons of coffee to your cup and add hot water, just off the boil.

average
it's too expensive for what you're getting. It tastes nothing like fresh ground coffee. The regular Carte Noir serves it's purpose and has a similar taste so for the price I'll buy that instead. If I want proper brewed coffee, I'll stick to grinding my own beans.

Good for a change
Having had several cups, I would definitely buy this product again, but am disappointed with the overall strength. There is a lovely ground coffee taste, but a little weak.

Over priced
The flavour is better than most instant coffees because it contains ground coffee, hence the sediment. The same can be achieved by adding a tablespoon of very finely ground coffee beans to a jar of instant. Better to make a cup or pot of real coffee.

"Too expensive and tasteless"
Decided to try this as it is on offer, I wish I had not wasted my money. Two even three teaspoons of coffee and this was still the worst coffee I have had in a long time. My Sons who love their coffee threw theirs away. I shall stay with my usual brands from now on.

smooth but weak
I would definitely buy this product again, but not regularly due to price. It does have a ground coffee taste and also a lovely smoothness, but is a very weak tasting coffee. My husband still prefers the original carte noire instant.
