Keep refrigerated below 5ºC. This recipe is best when cooked from fresh.
If freezing, do so on the day of purchase & consume within 1 month. Defrost thoroughly before cooking by placing in a refrigerator for 24 hours. Once thawed, please don’t re-freeze & consume within 1 day.
Prepare & Use
This recipe is made with some raw ingredients and isn't suitable for microwaving, so please follow these cooking instructions carefully.
Oven Cook
1. Pre-heat oven to 200ºC/180°C/Gas mark 6.
2. Remove film but leave the moussaka in its wooden tray*. Place on a baking tray in the centre of the oven and cook for 30 minutes.
3. Leave to stand for 2 minutes before serving.
Make sure it's piping hot throughout.
*Our wooden trays are designed for the oven, just make sure they don't touch the element of gas flame.

Serves 2 children!
This is delicious but tiny! My husband and I are not large people and we both eat fairly modest portions of food.. There was not enough for both of us however and we had to eat again a couple of hours later. This is suitable for a light lunch for 2 or for 2 children in the evening. Bit overpriced I think. The Marks and Spencer's version is just as good and much bigger! Also, I really don't like the wood and greaseproof paper packaging. I appreciate the attempt to do away with plastic or foil containers, but this doesn't work- it's messy and impractical and the cheese won't brown on top because it's covered over too much.

We've had this 3 times over the last couple of months and it's always been delicious. I usually make my own (and it's very good) this is a really close second.
