Product Description
Classified Cru Bourgeois since 1932, with a splendid terroir, this estate was owned before by Prince Guy de Polignac and now by Domaines Lapalu. This remarkable wine from the Haut-Medoc region of Bordeaux has been aged in oak barrels during 12 months. This wine is elegant and rich. A combination of raspberry and cassis, with plumy Merlot. Tannins are ripe with wonderful aromatic expression. Very well balanced with some cedar notes result with an attractive bouquet.

Delicious
A friend told me I'd like this because, he said, Haut Medoc is always reliable. This is lovely, and even better after an hour in a decanter. Fruity, smooth, not too heavy. Guests always ask what it is, in a good way.

very satisfied
I hadn't tried this before and no one had recommended it to me so it was a gamble that paid off very well. We loved this delicious and smooth wine which seemed excellent quality for it's moderate price.

Ludicrously cheap
This is a well regarded Cru Bourgeois from a good vintage - I'm tasting the 2009 - but it costs only slightly more than a generic Bordeaux. No doubt it's a sign of how lop-sided the Bordeaux market is, but at any rate this is seriously good value. Aroma of tobacco, cedar and blackcurrant. Taste is unmistakeably Medoc. Tannins are at bit tough at the moment - I would suggest a drinking window of 2015-2020.
