A bit hard
Ok chick peas but many of them were quite hard, I didn't mind them but my toddler normally likes chick peas but wouldn't eat these.

Had gone off
I opened one tin that was still in date and there was a sort of gelatinous layer on top of the chickpeas, so I binned it. I then opened another, and it had the same, so I figured it was normal, rinsed them and then used them in a chili. My boyfriend and I both had bad stomachs into the following day.. I've used them in the past, and they've been fine, but I would request a refund for and discard any tins that are as described above.

easy, healthy, delicious
I buy these all the time; they're not expensive, not salty (so I don't need to rinse), and even easy to open with a ring-pull top. I use them mainly to make quick, cheap and healthy hummus. Also add to pretty much any veg. mix (pasta, curry, soup, etx) as they add protein(if combined with a starch) and fibre.

Variation You could use canned white beans instead of chickpeas: try cannellini or butterbeans.

Cook's Note Do use the pulse button on the food processor – this gives you more control in achieving the consistency you want. Although the mixture is fairly wet to work with, you will need the 2 eggs for binding. If you prefer some texture, just don’t blend the beans as much.

nasty little pellets
The texture of chickpeas is very important to the taste. These chickpeas are much smaller than ordinary ones, and much harder. Not that chickpeas should be soft, but the inside should have an almost voluptuous softness when you bite into one. These are depressing tasteless little things.
