Keep refrigerated below 5°C. For use by date see front of pack Suitable for home freezing on day of purchase in a four star food freezer or three star frozen food compartment, which should be -18°C or colder. Use within one month. Defrost fully in a refrigerator before use: do not refreeze once defrosted
Prepare & Use
Oven
Remove sleeve. Pierce film in several places. Place on a baking tray in the centre of oven until piping hot. Remove from oven on tray and allow to stand for 2 minutes
For best result microwave.
Microwave ovens vary: refer to handbook. Remove sleeve and pierce film lid in several places. Place on a microwaveable plate. Halfway through heating peel back film, stir, re-cover and continue heating for the remaining time. Allow to stand on the plate for 2 minutes after heating. Check that food is piping hot. If not, heat for a further brief period.
Stir before serving. Do not reheat once cooled

very authentic, just like my mothers
biryani is a pan fry mix of meat and rice, the rice is high quality, the spices perfect, and the onions are used to add a nutty flavour. same trick is used in dal too. while it seems disappointing to many, it is actually very close to authentic biryani, well done. to avoid dryness though, add a teaspoon or so of water or milk to the dish before cooking. on its own its probably dry for many, so best eaten with an accompanying 'saucy' dish.

Nasty
Dry, tasteless and rubbery chicken, please bring back the old formula Waitrose, this is such a horrible disappointment.

Delicious
I don't know why this has some poor reviews, but I like it because it is flavoursome without being too greasy like other ready meal curries since - it has no oily/creamy sauce.

Disappointing
We bought this as part of a Friday night curry treat but were so disappointed when we got it home and cooked it. Same as other reviews - poor amount of chicken which was dry and tasteless and needed veg and a sauce to make it edible. Ate the dry bits of chicken and threw the rest away which was a waste.
