Prepare & Use

Microwave:

Chilled:
B/650 W - 6½ mins.
D/750W – 5½ mins.
E/850W – 5 mins.

Frozen:
B/650 W - 8 mins.
D/750W – 7½ mins.
E/850W – 7 mins

Microwave ovens vay: refer to handbook.
Remove sleeve. Pierce film lid in several places. Place container on a microwaveable plate. Halfway through heating peel back film lid, stir, re-cover and continue heating for the remaining time. Allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving. Check food is piping hot, if not, re-cover and heat for a further brief period.

Oven Cook:

Chilled:
Electric (190ºC): 25 mins
Fan (170ºC): 25 mins
Gas (gas mark 5): 25 mins

Frozen:
Electric (190ºC): 40 mins
Fan (170ºC): 40 mins
Gas (gas mark 5): 40 mins.

Preheat oven. Remove sleeve. Pierce film lid in several places. Place container on a baking tray in centre of oven. Remove from oven on the tray and allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving.

Stir before serving. Do not reheat once cooled

Plenty of chicken

Plenty of chicken, naturally not a spot on restaurants or takeaways, however, a rather nice Chicken Dhansak for a supermarket ready meal.

Lacks heat and sourness of dhansak

Nice enough but doesn't have the "hot and sour" taste I'd expect from a dhansak.

Pretty Nice

Tastes pretty authentic with just the right amount of spice. Plenty of chicken in it also, unlike some other Waitrose dishes in this range.
