Prefer the Saitaku brand, but this arrived as a sub and serves a purpose.

Tastes like brown sludge, gritty and sour. Saitaku is vastly superior.

Authentic great miso

Great miso - add brown rice, noodles and some green veg for a healthy warming meal.

Best stock for rich soups

I use this as a stock base for my home grown tomato soup. It absolutely makes all the difference and noticeably better than with beef or vegetable stock. Will be trying it in other dishes.
