don't taste of chocolate!

These are not good value for money and somehow don't taste of chocolate. Far better taste and value to buy a slab of dark cooking chocolate and cut it up.

Great chocolate despite the packaging

I've been using these for a few years now. The chocolate chunks are great, very tasty and perfect for brownies, flapjacks etc. However, until recently they were in a packet within a stout cardboard tube, with a secure but easily removable lid. Now they are in a flimsy narrow plastic tube with a lid which only opens halfway. This means that you have to shake the tube to get the chocolate out, which takes forever as the chunks get stuck. Absolutely ridiculous design. I recommend the chocolate but the new packaging is moronic.

I bought these to add to my frozen yoghurt and they are just right. Delicious chocolate taste, perfect bite-size, much better than chips, what more could you ask for?

Great for bread!

I use these choc chunks to make brioche in my breadmaker as these are the only chocolate that does not melt into the bread! Very yummy chocolate could also be used for cake toppings! Good quality and good price!

Chocolate Raspberry Trifle

This rich chocolate trifle goes down equally well for a dinner party or quick weekend treat. You can cheat by using bought chocolate sponge, leave out the alchohol if you're making it for children to eat. This is easy for children to assemble but they may need a little help if they are whipping the cream by hand.

Variation Make double chocolate chip cookies by replacing 25g (scant 1oz) of the flour with cocoa powder. Cook's Notes Don't worry if the golden cookies are still a little soft when you take them out of the oven - they will firm up as they cool, to become deliciously chewy.
