Storage
Keep frozen.
Once defrosted, keep refrigerated below 5ºC and use within 24 hours.
Prepare & Use
Preparation: Remove one or two blocks from packaging as required and wrap in cling film to prevent drying out. Defrost for one to two hours at room temperature or overnight in a refrigerator.
Roll pastry to required thickness on a floured surface. Allow to rest for a few minutes before use. Cook the pastry in a preheated oven at 200ºC/400ºF/Gas Mark 6 (for assisted ovens 180ºC), or at the temperature required for your recipe.
Cooks' Tip: Light as air and deliciously buttery, this puff pastry is ready to roll and puffs up beatifully. Handy in the freezer for any time you need to rise to the occasion! Perfect for crowning a simple pie, or a spectacular Mille-Feuille

Not keen on this
Bought this 2 or 3 times and each time it has had an unusual cheesy taste. Not sure why.

Looks As Good As It Tastes
Perfect pastry for topping homemade meat pies. Easy to handle. Rolls out into any shape you want. Crispy and flakey. Browns well. Looks better than (my) homemade puff pastry. Even better, tastes homemade. Enough for 4 individual pies, or 2 large pies.

2 small blocks
The written description that comes up on the left under Product Description reads "2x250g sheets of pastry." However, this is 2 small BLOCKS of pastry. You need to think ahead about what you want to use them for and whether they will be big enough for the job. I much prefer one large block, because then I can have one continuous piece of pastry, for example to make a nice ample lid for a round 9" pie, or to cover a 9x13 inch dish.

Good but there is a knack to it
If you freeze this I recommend, popping under tap for a second and wrapping in a tea towel and leaving it to thaw. Otherwise the card packaging allows the pastry to dry it out too much and it is then too dry to roll out properly. Just a thought. Better packaging than non recycle-able plastic foil.

Go for the branded version instead
I have bought this pastry several times and it has always been disappointing. The blocks are too small to be useful, and the pastry doesn't rise well and is very greasy. I'd go for the branded alternative instead.
