OK, but lacks the intensity of fresh coriander

I generally like the frozen herb range, but the coriander doesn't seem to freeze well and lacks the depth of flavour of fresh. Probably better than dried coriander so OK in an emergency, but can let down dishes that need a strong coriander flavour. Def recommend the frozen parley though!

No way as good as fresh coriander

I was seduced by the outstanding reviews to try this product but was so disappointed. It didn't have that wonderful taste of fresh coriander that I enjoy so much. It may work for a master stock but not on its own. I cannot recommend.

Freezer Essential

I love all of these - wish there were more! It is so handy to be able to grab a packet and add fresh herbs without having the remainder of a packet going off in the fridge. Means you can cook a recipe without having to remember to buy fresh herbs. FAB!

useful herbs!

This range of frozen herbs is excellent BUT why is the range getting smaller and smaller? First the EXCELLENT crushed Kaffir Lime leaves went and now the Thai and Italian mixes have disappeared as well. Can we have them all back please?

This is an essential for me.

I love this product, the coriander is consistently good quality and full of flavour. I use this in curries, soups and rice/pulse dishes. Great added to a chilli as well. For a cheap and tasty soup, try adding around 500g roughly chopped carrots and a chopped onion and potato and 1tsp ground corander to a litre of chicken or veg stock. Simmer till carrots are soft, blitz till smooth and add half a bag of coriander leaf and salt and pepper to taste. Yum!

Green Curry Paste

Green Curry Paste

This recipe is for green curry paste which can be used to make the green chicken curry recipe. You can buy ready made curry pastes but they never taste quite as good as home made. You'll need a pestle and mortar to pound the paste and you should have sufficient paste for about 6 lots of curries, it freezes really well and making the paste is a great stress reliever. Make sure children stand well back when you dry fry the cumin and coriander seeds but you can still put them in charge of shouting once they start smelling the spices roasting so you know when they're ready to be taken off the heat... Children can help pound just make sure that they don't touch the chillies, if the shallots and chillies make your eyes water wear swimming goggles. It looks daft but it really does the trick. If you make the children wear them as well you'll have a good giggle. If you want to make the paste mild then reduce the amount of chillies by half.
