Odd meat

This is not pepperoni as I know it..It has a taste I cannot place.

Last lot tasty mouldy

One of the two sections were off colour. Wife ate one and spat it out. I'd just eaten a slice which tasted a little off but hadn't noticed the off-colour at that point. Didn't get sick, possibly thanks to the copious neat whiskey I followed it with in an effort to kill the bugs but I was not impressed and will not be touching this with a bargepole again. Very unlike Waitrose to sell food gone bad.

Blech

Well, probably more bland than blech, but it just didn't taste of much. The Unearthed brand is so much better.

Thick but bland

I like that these slices are thick cut, although these are perhaps a little too thick, but I do not like the flavour at all. Agree with another reviewer that they turn purple, sort of a insipid, rubbery, drained look. Just not appetizing at all. The flavour is more like napoli salami than pepperoni.

So Frustrating

This is a quality sausage, sliced nice and thick, and well priced. The problem is, it's not pepperoni. Pepperoni has some chilli and paprika in it - this doesn't. The result is that, when you cook it, it turns purple. It still tastes great, but who wants purple sausage on their pizza?
