Fireproof your mouth
It seemed to me that someone went mad with the pepper when mixing the filling. Hot enough to be painful. Will not order again.

Filling quite good. Pastry very poor
I much prefer Ginsters pasties because the pastry is tasty. These posh end Waitrose ones may be hand made, and have carefully prepared fillings, but they are downright unpalatable because of the excessive amounts of dry chalky pastry. I have had to leave large amounts of nasty pastry each time I have tried them. Is it that they have the proportion of fat to flour wrong? I just don't know.

Could be excellent
Nice filling, although I agree with another poster that they may be a bit peppery. What really lets these pasties down is the proportion of filling to pastry. The crimped edges make up at least 50% of the pasty, add that to the pastry case and the filling accounts for 35-40% of the pasty. Not good enough.

Good standby, but not like the real Cornish ones
Really nice with a dressed salad when you are very hungry. But it would be good if Waitrose/Ocado were to sell the ones you buy in the pasty shops in Cornwall, which are out of this world, not manufactured in Berkshire.
