Delicious now they are in season
Now that English cox apples are in season, these are delicious - small tart crunchy apples, just how they should be and the flavour is so much more interesting than other varieties

Won't buy again
I had two bags of these delivered and the apples in both were soft and brown near the core. I'll avoid buying these in future.

Not what I'd call a Cox's
These had neither the appearance nor taste of a true Cox's apple, but were shiny skinned and stripey instead. In fact they looked rather like the sort I got in my veg box the same week which claimed to be a different variety altogether . Acceptable to eat when they are on offer but if you want a true Cox's look elsewhere.

Mixed quality, recently terrible
Recently these apples have been horrible, floury textured with lots of brown bits inside and lots of bruises. We will be waiting until the autumn to try them again.

Delicious
Takes me back to my childhood, but they must be bought in season to appreciate as with a lot of native fruit and veg. It would be great if Ocado could possibly give some kind of indication of when a product is in its natural season, as a lot of shoppers seem to expect the same taste all year round and that is not possible.
