Daylesford Award-Winning Organic Lamb Mince
We farm four different breeds of sheep throughout the year, so that you can always have lamb which is in season and at it's best for the table. Throughout their lives, they graze our clover-rich organic pastures, producing meat which is full-flavoured and very lean.
- Our animals roam freely on our farm's organic pastures, and feed on the organic crops we grow ourselves;
- We never use herbicides or artificial fertilisers;
- Our lamb has won a 2010 Soil Association award.

Storage
Keep refrigerated. Consume within the use-by date. Once pack is opened use on the same day.
Suitable for freezing on day of purchase. Use within one month. Defrost fully before use.
Prepare & Use
Place the mince in a pan on a moderate heat for 5 to 7 minutes until the meat is all browned.
Once sauce and other ingredients are added, cook for at least 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to break up any meat clumps

best moussaka ever!
I am suprised to see such negative reviews. I found this mince utterly delicious making the best moussaka ever, I have no doubt it therefore has a large amount of fat, whether its unhealthy I couldn't say, but you can't digest meat without fat and lamb has some tasty fat. In moderation I can see no problem enjoying what I thought was high quality tasty organic produce. The price is rather high and have to say I have only bought it on offer.

Too muttony, too expensive
Used this to make moussaka - despite lots of other spices going in, the moussaka still tasted of mutton. Not buying it again.

Premium price but not a premium product
I always expect lamb to be rather fatty, but this was the worst mince I have ever bought - also the most expensive. Even after draining off a considerable amount of fat during cooking, the left-over meat, when allowed to cool, was coated in a white layer. I won't be buying it again.
