can't stand the heat

This spatula just had it's first outing and melted! It was not in contact with the stove, the bottom of the pan etc. I used it to transfer warm caramel from one container to another. I've used a le Creuset one for that job over the past 6 years without a problem. However, this one will go straight in the bin

Wooden handle

I had bought two of these for spares in the kitchen. Unfortunately they had wooden handles which were rough in places. Not suitable for dishwasher.
