Packington Free Range Diced Pork 350g

All our pigs are born outdoors at Packington. Our sows live their whole lives outside with plenty of space to roam, wallow and be sociable. When the piglets are weaned, they are moved into large outdoor paddocks. Here the piglets have the benefit of well bedded, cosy tents, while still being able to run around outside. A happy pig is a healthy pig!
At fourteen weeks of age, our piglets are moved into large, naturally lit sheds with a large outdoor area, where due to our low group numbers, we can ensure the welfare of the pig remains paramount. Tended by our farmers, the pigs are protected from the elements, with lots of space, natural light and natural ventilation, and deep straw beds.
Packington pigs are reared to the highest welfare standards and have been well recognised by butchers and the RSPCA Freedom Foods, as the best you can get. Our pigs develop and mature to produce the delicious meat you've come to expect from Packington. It may take longer to produce pigs in this way and cost a little more, but the results are worth it, and all our customers agree.
All our pork is prepared, hand cut and packed by Jon Thorner's, a Q Guild Master butcher. As a family butchery business, they understand the needs of the customer and their requirements enabling us to bring this truly superb product to you.
We know you'll enjoy it. - Rob Mercer

Packington Free Range
Passion, respect and a relentless drive for excellence, have helped us, and the generations before us, to grow into the business we are today.
Passion
Our respect extends beyond our livestock to our land as well. We've partnered with Natural England to drive many environmental schemes on our farms. Our fields have grass margins, to protect hedgerows and encourage ecosystems to flourish. We plant wild bird seed mixes, to supply insects and farmland birds with vital foods sources.
Excellence
Packington Free Range pigs and chickens are given plenty of time to mature and lots of pasture to roam. This is not only best for the animal's welfare, but it also results in first class meat, a fact recognised by our customers and supported by numerous industry rewards.

Tiny Scraps
The majority of this meat is small or tiny scraps. About 35/40% is diced pieces and the rest is little scraps. It bears no resemblance to the photograph on the packaging. I was embarrassed to serve this as a meal! We wont buy again.
Very good pork.
This was very nice.. Half the pack was enough to make casserole for two of us, froze the rest. Will definitely buy again.
great diced pork
we use this in curry stew and even wraps very nice
what has happened?
previously purchased this brand as a roasting shoulder of pork and it was just lovely - regrettably this diced pork was absolutely tasteless and sadly, very tough - very disappointing
delicious and tender
I must have had a good batch! I bought 2 of these I the 3 for 12 pounds offer and I made a large casserole in my slo cooker even my husband commented on how tasty the pork was and I had enough for 6 plates of food!
excellent
There must be a lot of variation in this product. I found reasonably consitent sized pieces with no connective tissue to speak of. I use it for pork and cider casserole and a 'peruvian' pork recipe involving orange juice, chili powder, potatoes and sweet corn. Cooks perfectly.
