Roll down top of pack to exclude air and reseal with tab. Store in a cool dry place and use as quickly as possible or within 2 months of opening.

Prepare & Use

Quick White Bread
500g Strong White Bread Flour;
1 tsp Salt;
1 tsp Sugar;
1 tsp Quick Yeast;
300ml Luke Warm Water;
1 tbsp Vegetable Oil.

1. Combine the flour, salt, sugar add quick yeast.
2. Mix in water bring together into a rough dough.
3. Add the oil and knead well.
4. Dust your work surface with flour, place the dough on top and knead vigorously for a few minutes.
5. Cut, shape & place the dough in oiled tins or on a baking sheet.
6. Cover & leave to rise in a warm place for 25 minutes.
7. Bake in a preheated oven for 25/45 minutes depending on size.

does what it says

I've been using this yeast in my various bread machines for years & it's never let me down. If I've been unable to buy it & had to purchase others, I've invariably been unhappy with the results. Doves is a winner for me.

Poor results

Maybe there was a bad batch of this yeast as I have also had problems with it. I've always used Allinsons in the past and will go back to this brand. Maybe it would work better if I added their vitamin C but at over £4.00 I'd rather cut my losses and bin my pack of Doves yeast.

This works so well in my bread machine that I have had to reduce the amount used with another brand by half a teaspoon.

Perfect

I don't have any of the problems mentioned in recent reviews - it always works for me and works well. I really like it because I can just seal the packet after use, and there's none of the loss that happens with the silly little sachets you get in most cases.

Used to be good

Like other reviewers, I used to love this yeast and it gave great results with my breadmaker. But in the last few months, it hasn't worked at all - flat loaves or very uneven rise. Having tried replacing the flour without success, I swapped to Allinson yeast and have had no problems at all.
