Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix

Prepare & Use

You Will Need
1 1/3 Cups Water
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
3 Large Eggs

1 Preheat oven to 350°F. For metal or glass pans 325°F. For dark or coated pans*.
Grease sides and bottom of each pan with shortening. Flour lightly. (Use baking cups for cupcakes),

2 Blend dry mix, water, oil and eggs in large bowl at low speed until moistened (about 30 seconds). Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter in pans and bake immediately.

3 Bake following chart below. *Add 3-5 minutes to bake time for dark or coated pans. Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack for 15 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.

Pan Size: 13 x 9-inch, Bake Time: 35-38 min
Pan Size: Bundt®**, Bake Time: 45-50 min
Pan Size: 24 Cupcakes, Bake Time: 19-22 min

Lower fat recipe: prepare and bake cake following directions above except using 1 cup water, 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce and 3 large eggs. Reduce baking time 1-2 minutes.

Absolutely yummy!

This cake mix is totally fool proof and perfect everytime. I love baking, but I've never been able to get my chocolate cake this moist and light making it from scratch. It makes an enormous cake and I cover mine with chocolate fudge which I do make from scratch! Completely converted, it's worth the cheat!

Great cake mix!

Great cake mix, but expected it to come with the frosting too! Made the cake in a 10 inch cake tin as did not have two sandwich tins big enough! Lovely moist cake, used half water/half milk instead of all water. Choc fudge frosting inside and out to finish off! Yummy!

OMG a Must!!!!!

This will be the Best moist Cake you will ever Have & trust me you will brag that you made it LOL!!!! Made this in to giant Cup cakes & Brownie all with the excellent chocolaty taste

Excellent cake!

I made the cake with creamy vanilla icing, and it was delicious. If I'd had some chocolate, I would have garnished it with chocolate curls. This cake is very moist with a fine crumb - the flavor and texture I have been unable to find until now.
