Storage
Keep refrigerated below 5ºC. This product has been previously frozen in controlled conditions.
Suitable for freezing on day of purchase. Use within one month. Defrost fully before use: do not refreeze once defrosted.
Prepare & Use
Preparation: Wash hands, all surfaces and utensils after touching raw fish.
Oven Cook
Electric (210ºC): 22-25 mins
Fan (190ºC): 22-25 mins
Gas (gas mark 6½): 22-25 mins
Preheat oven. Remove all packaging. Place fish cakes on a preheated baking tray in centre of oven. Cook until golden brown.
Do not reheat once cooled

A major problem with these fishcakes
The core is not welded to the main outside of fish and potato and crumb. There is almost a centimetre gap all round between the two. This means the fishcakes, in each case I have bought them, arrive falling to pieces with the outside holed and becoming detatched all round, with chunks on the bottom of the pack. I found it was not possible to pick one up by hand. Each fish cake had to be got out with a spoon. Such a shame. Surely the manufacturer can sort out an appropriate stickiness for the mixture.

really good
crispy crumb ,very tasty, plenty of wholesome fish and potato and the gooey middle is perfect sauce it's like the savoury equivalent to a jam doughnut! I like them with spinach and watercress salad and dash of lemon juice

really nice, even cold!
I don't usually like fish cakes but I really enjoyed these. If you're expecting the thick salmon ones we used to have at school, you'll probably be disappointed as these are much more subtle. However I enjoyed them more and because they are quite large I ate one, and had the other one cold for lunch the next day. It was even tastier cold!
