Nice but too much icing

This was a nice sponge but I had to scrape off a lot of the icing as there was far too much.

Coffeeless Bland Cake!

A moist, light cake, but where was the coffee? I gave my husband a slice with a cup of coffee, he asked what sort of cake it was, when I told him coffee his reply was "could be anything - no flavour at all" I agree with him and won't buy her cakes again. On a positive note, the packaging is excellent, the cake arrived perfect.

Nice Old Fashioned Cake

Good taste, ours was moist, very sweet, but very nice. Reminded me of Grandma's baking when I was a child.

Almost as good as homemade

Being short of time last week I bought the coffee and walnut cake. The sponge was very nice but bland, no chopped walnuts in the cake so that was disappointing and there was no coffee flavour at all. Icing was very nice not at all too sweet. I dripped a small amount of camp coffee and an equally small amount of rum on to the cake wrapped it up and served it the next day where it received at much warmer reception from my family.

rather dry

really wanted to like this but my whole family found it rather dry.my husband even suggested it tasted stale despite being a whole week within its use by date
