Product Description

Overlooking the Dordogne river, the renowned St Emilion vineyard offers a unique style of wine from the Bordeaux region. The cultural landscape of the Saint Emilion vineyards have gained a place on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

The 2013 vintage is a blend of the Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. This is an elegant and well balanced wine with ripe red berry fruit flavours and supple tannins. Esprit de Puisseguin St Emilion will enhance any good meal but is at its best with grilled or roasted red meats and rich creamy cheeses.

Very nice!

I'm not a connoisseur of wine, but when friends brought this as a gift for dinner, I loved it! It has low acidity, which is easier for me, and a full rich flavour. I'm buying it again.

Surprisingly good.

I'm a bit surprised at the negative reviews here as I felt I knew a little about reds. Mine is the M&S one, but it's surely the same? I'm just on my second bottle and I would describe it as - for a Bordeaux - a fulsome red with a sense of traditional character. When bought on offer - 25% of for six - it is surely a bit of a bargain?

Very smooth, great value

At the offer price of £7.32 this is a great find. Maybe not the best wine you have tasted but significantly better, smoother and delicate notes compared with your average £7 wine. Treat yourself! I tried 2 and bought a dozen.

This is the sort of stuff that gives negociant wine a bad name - over extracted and not recognisable as Bordeaux. Soft cherry fruit.
