A staple
I always keep this in my fridge. The entire family loves it. It makes an easy meal over pasta in no time at all.

OK as a base for tuna pasta or bolognese
This sauce is fine as a base for tuna pasta or a quick and easy bolognese, but doesn't taste homemade and there's not much depth of flavour if you have it by itself.

Really good basic pasta sauce
I've tried the basic fresh tomato and basil pasta sauces from most of the supermarkets and Waitrose's is by far the best in my opinion. It is delicious with pasta and parmesan, but then also turns a batch of minced beef into a delicious bolognese sauce instantly. I really like this product and always have a couple in the freezer for emergencies.

Cook's Note It’s important that the potatoes aren’t too wet. You could boil them in their skins, which will help, but remember to peel them before mashing.

Why do you always put sugar in things
I was really sad to see Ocado put in things like sugar that I cant take out. It is a great sauce but the sugar just wasnt needed. they are not alone as nearly everyone does it. Pleae start a campaign to make them stop!
