Perfect Pittas

These are the perfect size for a snack and great tasting! Better than the large size ones which I end up cutting in half anyway.

Useful little things

I too bought these by mistake, not realising they were small, but they have been great for picnic lunches and my two little grandchildren love them.

mouldy before best before date

Ordered 2 packets and one of them was mouldy before the best before date! Shall never order them again!

fantastic little things

These tiny pittas are so versatile. You can put nearly anything in them and they are delicious. Just don't let them dry out, selotape the packet shut.

Picnic pittas - excellent

Bought these by accident regarding the size but they are a perfect size actually for a snack or breakfast. They toast up lovely - crispy and chewy at the same time. Leave a few in your bread bin and freeze the rest until you think you'll want them. I defrost before toasting.

Pea, Broad Bean and Mint Dip

Involve the children straightaway with shelling the peas and broad beans. Peas are lovely to eat raw from the pod sprinkled over a salad. Broad beans are best hulled - boil for 2 minutes, drain and rinse in cold water, peel off the tough grey-green skin to reveal the tender bright green beans inside. Children love using blenders and liquidisers, just make sure that their hands are dry before touching anything electrical and that they are supervised - remember to PUT THE LID ON tightly before allowing them to press the button, otherwise it will be very, very messy.
