Prepare & Use
Microwave from frozen, 4-5 mins.
Microwave ovens vary: refer to handbook. Place 250g butternut squash into a microwaveable dish. Cover with suitable film and pierce in several places. Stand for 2 minutes after heating before serving. Check that food is hot. If not, reheat for a further brief period.
Oven Cook from frozen, 30 mins.
Preheat oven. Remove all packaging. Spread over a lightly greased baking tray. Place in centre of oven. Turn halfway through cooking.

Watery, tasteless and generally disappointing
Possible good for soup but very disappointing when roasted. Will not buy again.

winner
Haven't had issues with stringiness. Use all the time for soups, adding to curries, etc. Great product, please keep stocking these.

still had lots of stringy bits so had to discard half. Otherwise it would have been so useful and good value

Highly recommended
I thought twice about buying frozen butternut squash, but prepared fresh versions had always been a disappointment, and life is too short for trying to deal with a whole from scratch. So I tried this and wish I had done years ago. Roast it in olive oil with a sprinkle of salt straight from frozen - I left it about 10 minutes longer than recommended and it benefitted from it. I used it in a veggie lasagne which gave it a more substantial feel than normal veggie versions. I had it in a veg bake with left over cheese sauce the next day. And have roasted with cumin seeds. So healthy and versatile and very handy being frozen - use just what you need when you need it.
